Amanda Klemmer
Amanda is an assistant professor of ecology at the University of Maine. As a scientist who is often studying ecosystems using numbers and graphs, art is a way for her to enjoy the pure beauty of nature. Therefore, the majority of Amanda’s art focuses on plants and landscapes by trying to capture the feelings they invoke. Amanda’s medium is mainly watercolor, which allows her to use bright colors and take advantage of blooms, splatters, bleeds, and salt bursts to interpret the subjects she paints.
